Rotorua Ngongotaha Rail Trust general manager Sharon Fleet said she was thrilled to win the Keep Rotorua Beautiful Supreme Community Award 2011 on Tuesday night. "We're thrilled to bits that someone has nominated us." "We've taken the park from a mediocre looking area to something the community can be proud of." This involved painting, cleaning, clearing of rubbish,discovering how the gazebos went together and painting some of the rolling stock. A great clean up day. It wasn't all hard work as they had train rides. They had no idea we existed and there was a lot of interest shown by a great busload of persons.Thanks guys and girls.
