Welcome to Rotorua Ngongotaha Rail Trust. The Trust was formed to keep the Rotorua to Putaruru Rail link alive. With a lot of good work from Trust members we now have a 30 year lease on the line.
Our mission statement is: "To create a fully sustainable rail operation"
The Trust's vision is:
- To reinstate the rail line between Rotorua and Putaruru
- To attract operators and service providers of train services
- To develop community good will and involvement with the local railway
- To improve station facilities and environment
- to assist with developing agreed long-term strategies for the local railway
